Abstract: In the mini-course we will cover the main aspects of the construction of the A’Campo space in the smooth category and a fiberwise symplectic form on it. This contains some of the main innovations of our paper, it is at the core of our proof of Zariski’s conjecture for families of isolated singularities, and we believe it yields further applications in the near future. Our lectures will focus on the technical side, so the audience can get introduced to the inside of the construction. They will cover sections 3 (February 10) and 4 (February 17) of our paper arXiv:2204.07007. We hope they will lay a firm basis to understand in a deeper way the overview lectures that we will deliver in the singular workshop in March.
